Welcome to Carrabassett Valley

Sugarloaf Mountain, the largest ski area east of the Rockies, is settled in the charming, tiny town of Carrabassett Valley. Carrabassett plays hosts to a diverse community of characters who all share a  love for all-things-Loaf. Visit here at any time of year and enjoy an abundance of recreational opportunities while basking in the beauty of Maine's western mountains.

Spend your winters skiing or riding Sugarloaf, then participating in the time-old tradition of après ski at one of the amazing alpine eateries down the Access Road. You'll be able to skate, snowmobile, or snowshoe in the Valley's expansive winter wonderland: take a trip into the town's forests, full of beautiful birch trees and lush pines. Explore the town's winding river and roads. In the spring and summers, a wealth of adventures awaits you in Carrabassett Valley. Between biking, boating, fishing, golfing, and hiking, you'll never be bored.

Experience the Valley in a way most vacationers never will: enjoy the authentic ambiance of a country spring and rustic, rural summer. Appreciate the flora and fauna during the days and spend your nights outside, on a wrap-around front porch or beside a campfire, looking up at the stars that shine with absolute clarity. As autumn approaches, take a hunting trip or go on a hike. Surround yourself with bright foliage while watching wildlife; enjoy the fresh mountain air as it becomes brisk once more. Whatever the season, there's plenty of reasons to choose Carrabassett Valley.
