The award-winning Sugarloaf Golf Club was designed by Robert Trent Jones II to showcase the outstanding views from every tee. This dedication to design is mirrored in the architecture and sense of space in the upscale Village on the Green neighborhood, tucked along the fairways and meandering through the forest. Discover a combination of single-family homes and large duplex condos away from the hustle and bustle of the base area, yet just a shuttle ride away from the lifts. Featuring a variety of amenities like heated garages, cozy fireplaces, and impressive kitchens, Village on the Green properties give you plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views.
During the ski season, Village on the Green residents have the option of parking at the base of the West Mountain chairlift (also home of the Winterstick Factory) on holidays and weekends or taking the Sugarloaf Explorer to the Base Area. The shuttle makes three stops in the neighborhood: Nice Drive, Niblick Way and the Village on the Green condo complex.
There are year-round attractions in Village on the Green. In the shoulder season, residents enjoy biking and walking on the breathtaking Sugarloaf Golf Club cart path. Once course opens, there’s the added bonus of enjoying food and drinks at the clubhouse restaurant, Strokes Bar & Grille. The neighborhood is also home to a tennis court, open to residents only.
And just uphill from the Sugarloaf Golf Club clubhouse is the West Mountain Falls trailhead, a half-mile hike past the Hole 10 tee and along the Carrabassett River to a swimming hole and fly-fishing spot known for elusive brook trout. But be warned: the water is very cold even in August, flowing from the high-elevation Caribou Pond on the backside of Sugarloaf.
There’s a bright future ahead for this area of the Sugarloaf: Village on the Green is at the base of West Mountain, the site of future alpine trails, a new high-speed chairlift, downhill mountain biking trails and real estate development (area shaded in orange below).

“We recently sold a condo and purchased a piece of land at Sugarloaf. Sam Punderson was great to work with from the first day until closing. Highly recommend!”

“We recently purchased a condo with Sam Punderson and wanted to share our positive experience. After a visit in March, we asked Sam to start sending us new listings so we could keep an eye on things. By this fall, we were ready to buy but there wasn't much for sale. Eventually, the right spot came on, he let us know immediately, and we jumped on it right away. With property selling so fast at the mountain, his guidance was helpful in making the best offer possible. Closing a home is an undertaking when things are normal; doing it from out-of-state during a pandemic is a recipe for big challenges. In hindsight, it all went off without a hiccup from start to finish -- it was stress-free, thanks to Sam's help. If you're looking for representation or to start your search at Sugarloaf, we would recommend you give him a call.”

“We worked with Sam Punderson for our condo purchase and can't say enough about how good our experience was. Sam went the extra mile on many occasions; between FaceTime showings clearly during his dinner time and managing the offer process perfectly, we were lucky to have representation from such a great broker. If you're considering a purchase at the loaf, talk to Sam, he won't let you down.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mountainside Real Estate. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction from the beginning. His responsiveness to our needs was incredibly impressive as he knew how valuable our time on the mountain was since we lived so far away. He made buying a condo seamless from the initial showing, through the negotiations, right down to the final closing. I would recommend anyone considering a real estate transaction to consider calling Sam at Mountainside. You won't be disappointed!!”

“I recently purchased a lot in Kingfield, after several attempts to contact the listing agent at a different agency, I contacted Sam Punderson. Sam got back to me right away and agreed to meet me at the lot the next weekend. Sam handled the negotiation process in a very efficient and professional manner. I highly recommend Mountainside Real Estate and Sam Punderson for your real estate needs in the greater Sugarloaf area.”

“Excellent experience. Sam was my broker and went above and beyond. He even went to the property and FaceTimed it for me when I could not be there. Sam was always available, prompt to respond, and very effective. As a plus, Sam has incredible knowledge about the area and is a great resource. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. Great job Sam.”
